About these back to school bingo cards
Back to school bingo is a calm, familiar game for the first days of the year, when students are still learning names and routines. The words cover classroom supplies and places around school, so playing doubles as a tour of what they'll use every day.
Older classes can play a getting-to-know-you version instead: replace the words with things like "has a pet" or "likes soccer" and have students find a classmate for each square. Either way, you'll get a quick sense of who is confident reading and who might need support.

How to make bingo cards
- 1
Type or paste your words, one per line. Use vocabulary, sight words, math facts or anything your class is learning.
- 2
Pick a grid size and how many cards you need. Every card is shuffled differently, so no two students share a board.
- 3
Print the cards, or choose Save as PDF in the print window. The caller sheet prints on the last page.
