About these winter bingo cards

Winter bingo is a good fit for classroom parties where not every family celebrates the same holidays. The list sticks to snow, animals and cozy cold-weather words like hibernate, blizzard and hot cocoa, so it works from December through February.

Pair it with a science lesson on animals in winter, or play it on a snow day indoors. The caller sheet lists every word so you can call them in any order and check winners quickly.

How to make bingo cards

  1. 1

Type or paste your words, one per line. Use vocabulary, sight words, math facts or anything your class is learning.

  2. 2

Pick a grid size and how many cards you need. Every card is shuffled differently, so no two students share a board.

  3. 3

Print the cards, or choose Save as PDF in the print window. The caller sheet prints on the last page.

Ideas for winter bingo

  • Winter animals

When an animal is called, ask how it survives the cold: migrate, hibernate or adapt.

  • Inclusive party game

Use winter bingo instead of a holiday theme so every student feels included.

  • Describe it

Call each word with a short clue and let students work out the answer.

  • Cotton ball markers

Use cotton balls as snowy markers that are easy for small hands.
