About these new year bingo cards

New Year bingo is a cheerful way to welcome students back in January. Alongside celebration words like countdown and confetti, the list includes goal-setting words such as habit, practice and brave, which make a natural bridge into writing New Year goals.

Play a round on the first day back, then ask each student to pick one word from their card and turn it into a goal for the year. Print 2 or 4 cards per page to save paper.

How to make bingo cards

  1. 1

Type or paste your words, one per line. Use vocabulary, sight words, math facts or anything your class is learning.

  2. 2

Pick a grid size and how many cards you need. Every card is shuffled differently, so no two students share a board.

  3. 3

Print the cards, or choose Save as PDF in the print window. The caller sheet prints on the last page.
