About these fall bingo cards

Fall bingo celebrates the season without tying the game to a single holiday, so you can play it from September to November. The list covers leaves, apples, harvest and animals getting ready for winter, which fits right into a seasons or animal-adaptation unit.

For younger students, switch to a 4×4 card and Large text. For a color-word round, keep red, orange, brown and golden on the list and ask students to point to something in the room of that color.

How to make bingo cards

  1. 1

Type or paste your words, one per line. Use vocabulary, sight words, math facts or anything your class is learning.

  2. 2

Pick a grid size and how many cards you need. Every card is shuffled differently, so no two students share a board.

  3. 3

Print the cards, or choose Save as PDF in the print window. The caller sheet prints on the last page.

When squirrel, owl or migrate is called, talk about how animals prepare for winter.

Pair the game with an apple taste test and a class graph of favorites.

  • Color hunt

When a color word is called, students find an object of that color in the room.

Frequently asked questions

No. Fall bingo uses only autumn and harvest words, so it suits schools that don't celebrate Halloween.

What grid size is best?

5×5 for second grade and up, 4×4 or 3×3 for younger students.

Can I print several cards per page?

Yes. Choose 2 or 4 cards per page to save paper.
