A classroom scoreboard for review games and team challenges
This classroom scoreboard keeps score for up to eight teams on a big, clear screen. Team names, colors and scores are large enough to read from the back of the room, and the team in the lead gets a gold outline so students can see the standings at a glance.
It's built for running a game while you teach. Each team has a number key, so with a wireless keyboard you can give points without walking back to the computer. Every change can be undone, which helps when you award a point too quickly or a team asks for a recount.
Scores save in your browser as you go. If the bell rings in the middle of a review game, the same scores are waiting next lesson. Scores to 0 starts a new game but keeps your team names and colors.
Game ideas for your scoreboard
Quiz show review
Read a question, let teams confer for 20 seconds, then award points for every team that writes the right answer on a whiteboard.
Table points
Keep a running score for each table for routines like tidy-up and quick transitions, and reset it each Friday.
Spelling relay
Teams send one student at a time to spell a word. Use +5 for bonus words.
Math sprint
Show a problem; the first team with a correct answer gets a point. Take away a point for shouting out.
House points
Name teams after your school houses and keep the board open all week.
Debate rounds
Score each team's arguments on clarity and evidence so students see what earns points.
Frequently asked questions
How many teams can I have?
From 2 to 8. Changing the number of teams keeps the names and scores of the teams that remain.
What are the keyboard shortcuts?
Number keys 1 to 8 add one point to that team, U undoes the last change, and F switches to fullscreen. Shortcuts pause while you're typing a team name.
Will I lose the scores if I close the page?
No. Scores are saved in your browser automatically. They clear only if you press Scores to 0, Reset, or clear your browser data.
Can scores go below zero?
Yes. The −1 button can take a team below zero, which some teachers use for penalty points.
Can I change team colors?
Yes. Click the color square next to a team name and pick any color.
